CPASS hosts fireside chat for Living-Learning Community students

First year CPASS students have the unique advantage of being part of a living-learning environment. The majority of these students live in or near Bennett Tower and are enrolled in CPASS-only sections of first-year seminar.

Students have the option of enrolling in a problem-based learning, special topics course, working on projects related to health, physical activity and wellness. In addition, various events are being organized outside the classroom throughout the year.

LLC students in the special topics courses have spent the month of November   working on two applied projects. First, students collaborated with the SEP club. Each student joined an upper-level club member to play a friendly game of basketball, racquetball or table-tennis. During the game, the first-year students spoke to the upper level SEP club members about their experiences at WVU and CPASS.

The students in the special topics course will finish the semester focusing on the CPASS and Coca-Cola collaboration to develop a healthy living app. The students are working to create prompts for the app, along with identifying healthy activities WVU students may engage in around campus and community.
